Simulations: 3D Animation of Balls Falling Down Slanted Platforms

Exploring Physics and Motion in a 3D Environment

Simulations is a 3D animation project that demonstrates the principles of physics and motion through a visually engaging scene of three balls falling down a series of slanted platforms. This project showcases my skills in 3D modeling, animation, and physics simulation, highlighting the realistic interaction of objects within a digital environment.

Key Features:

  • Realistic Physics Simulation: Accurate depiction of gravity, collisions, and friction.
  • Smooth Animation: Fluid motion of the balls as they interact with the slanted platforms.

Tools Used:

  • Blender: For 3D modeling, texturing, and animation.
  • Autodesk Maya: For advanced physics simulation and rendering.
  • Adobe After Effects: For post-processing and visual enhancements.

Process:

  1. Concept and Planning: Initial sketches and storyboard creation to outline the animation sequence.
  2. Modeling: Creation of 3D models for the balls and slanted platforms using Blender.
  3. Animation: Setting up the physics simulation in Autodesk Maya to accurately depict the motion of the balls.
  4. Rendering: Rendering the animation frames in high quality.
  5. Post-Processing: Enhancing the final animation with visual effects and color correction in Adobe After Effects.
