Painting: “Stress” Concept Art

Project Description:
Created a painting titled “Stress” for my contemporary art class, where each student was assigned a word to depict through their artwork. My word was “stress,” and I chose to represent it through a white humanistic figure with a sharp-edged body screaming. The space around the figure is black, with white text of different stressors such as “family,” “career,” “anxiety,” and “decisions.” This piece aims to visually convey the overwhelming and suffocating nature of stress.

Key Skills Used:

  • Conceptualization: Developed the concept and design to effectively represent the word “stress.”
  • Drawing Techniques: Utilized various drawing techniques to create a striking and emotive piece.
  • Composition: Balanced the composition to ensure the figure and text are visually appealing and convey the intended message.
